Parties are Encouraged to Reach Agreements on the Maintenance of Activities in relation to section 87.4 (1) of the Canada Labour Code

The Board strongly encourages parties to discuss matters relating to the maintenance of activities and to make every effort to reach an agreement in this regard.

Parties may contact the Board at any time to request the assistance of an Industrial Relations Officer in facilitating discussions and assisting them in reaching an agreement concerning the maintenance of certain activities. Such assistance is available even where no application has been filed with the Board.

To facilitate the filing of such agreements, the Board has created a new form to assist parties in submitting agreements concerning the maintenance of certain activities.
