Forward Regulatory Plan
This Forward Regulatory Plan informs the public of regulatory initiatives the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB) aims to propose or finalize in 2024–26 and beyond.
Proposed Regulatory Initiatives
- Review of the Status of the Artist Act Procedural Regulations
The CIRB is working on housekeeping amendments to the Status of the Artist Act Procedural Regulations, based on comments received by the Standing Joint Committee for the Scrutiny of Regulations.
The proposed changes are aimed at harmonizing the versions in both official languages and are not substantive in nature.
- Review of the Canada Industrial Relations Board Regulations, 2012
The CIRB’s mandate has expanded significantly since the Canada Industrial Relations Board Regulations, 2012, were last amended. There is a longer-term plan to include rules of procedure for certain specific types of applications and complaints in these Regulations.
Stakeholders will be consulted at the appropriate time throughout this exercise.
